I recently came across an inspirational post on Facebook. I wish I would have saved the post because I cannot remember the original creator of this idea. Let it be noted that I am not the original creator of this concept, nor do I assume any credit for this idea.
The concept encourages you to live life fully, try new things, and embrace each day with boldness and excitement. It uses the alphabet, all 26 letters, as a base to get you out of your comfort zone to try, do, and experience new things. It simply works like this: You list the alphabet letters A-Z on a bulletin board, in a journal, or on a plain sheet of paper. You are going to use those 26 letters to keep track of your new experiences. For example, for the letter R, I wrote down rodeo because a few weeks ago I experienced a live rodeo for the first time. For the letter C, I wrote Columbian Food because I had the delicious opportunity to experience Columbian cuisine this year. You guys get the idea!
This idea is kind of like the “bucket list” idea however I like this idea better. The “bucket list” idea is a list of things or experiences you would like to accomplish before you die. The alphabet list idea to me is more about experiencing life now, enjoying life now. It’s about enjoying the present and creating memories for the future. I am super excited to participate in this concept.
I am challenging myself to find new adventures, new activities, and new experiences this year to intentionally live and not just exist. No longer will I just go through the mundane motions of everyday life. But I will seek out newness, embrace growth, and find joy in both the ordinary and the extraordinary things of life.
Your life and my life are adventures waiting to be written - one letter at a time. God has given us the permission and every tool needed to carve and shape our lives accordingly. He came to give us life and life more abundantly! Isn’t it time to live abundantly in every area of our lives? If you are a Believer in Christ Jesus and has surrendered your will for His Will, you have a heavenly home waiting for you in eternity. That’s solid and we thank God for that. However, until we transition into the afterlife, let’s celebrate each day and live on purpose each day. Let’s enjoy this life that Jesus died to give us and do things that make us smile and bring us happiness.
Sometimes the biggest shift in our lives begins with the smallest idea. I challenge you to find new adventures, activities, experiences, etc. and complete the 26-letter alphabet. It’s simple but yet it’s inspirational. Who is courageous enough to join me in finding ways to live one letter at a time? I would love to know.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but someone needs to get this. Life is precious and it is short. Don’t waste time checking things off a “bucket list” just for the sake of bragging rights and social media posts. Live intentionally experiencing God’s goodness in laughter, safe risk, rest, creativity, and love. Let every letter you fill in remind you to embrace life fully. To try. To grow. To experience. To breathe deeply inhaling and exhaling the breath of Life.
Walk through your own ABCs of adventure. Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

"Live Life Intentionally" This is great advice.
Love this. Love the idea of seeking out new daily adventures and not going thru a daily mundane life. It’s easy to sit in mundane. Thank you! I just signed up for a cooking class. lol.
